This kit is the same thing the pros use and is great for the street and track. This kit includes four-piston Ferrari F40 calipers and pads for the front, cross drilled ONLY 12.3 inch front discs, stainless steel braided brake lines, and hats and brackets made specifically for the Miata. G2 Brake Caliper Paint System Kit
Part # G2 G216x
New Page 1

G2 is the name in brake caliper paint.  We have used this kit on several of our own cars and speak from our own experiences.  The kit is 100% complete, has detailed instructions, and is very simple to use.  We followed the instructions and in a short amount of time had better-than-new beautiful calipers.  You could go buy spray paint and save a little money, but your calipers will have drips, be painted unevenly, and will fade.  G2 paint is the most beautiful and high quality paint we have seen used on calipers.  Again, we stress this kit is complete with everything you need to paint your brakes like the pros do it.  The kit is sufficient for 4 calipers or 2 brake drums.

The kit includes the G2 high-tech Paint System, Performance Brake Cleaner Spray, mixing cup, application brush, wood stirrer and a color car decal.  The kit is suitable for street and race car, it seals and protects, and has the highest heat resistance available.  This kit is available in 8 high-gloss, wear-resistant colors: Black, Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Silver, White, and Yellow. Please select your desired color below.

If possible, please email us a few pictures of your finished G2 painted calipers on your car so we can start a photo album of all the colors and what they look like!

Hawk HPS Front Pads for 1990-93 Miata
Part # Hawk HB148F.560

Hawk Performance HPS pads offer 20-40% more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most original equipment or standard replacement pads. This makes them more responsive and durable than most standard original brakes.

As standard brake pads wear, brake dust is released as the friction material wears in everyday braking. Hawk Performance HPS brake pads are formulated to run cleaner and release extremely low levels of dust in normal street driving.

Key Features and Benefits of Hawk Performance HPS brake pads:
High friction / torque hot or cold
Gentle on rotors
Very quiet, low noise
Improved braking over OE pads
Extended pad life

Brake pads are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.

NOTE:
Even though Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

Please Note: Price is for the pair.

Motul 600 Brake Fluid - 0.5 Litre Bottle
Part # Motul 600 0.5
Price is for 1 bottle which is 0.5 litre. Most cars require 4 bottles for fully bleeding the brakes. This 100% synthetic fluid is rated DOT4 which is one rating better than what is put in your factory brake system. It takes a much higher temperature to boil and results in less fade. You should bleed your brakes every 30,000 miles as regular maintenance.

Rotora Rotor for 1989-93 Miata - Cross-Drilled & Slotted - Front
Part # Ro 168.45034C
All Rotora high-performance replacement rotors are double disc ground to ensure parallelism. They are CNC machined and mill balanced to prevent vibrations. All rotors are e-coated (black) to prevent corrosion and prolong durability. Rotora’s high-quality and stringent quality control specifications assure that every component meets and exceeds worldwide ISO 9000 quality standards.

All Rotora rotors are O.E. replacement rotors. They bolt directly onto your car with no modifications necessary to anything!

We are often asked if slotted and/or drilled rotors are worth the additional money. The answer is yes! The reason is science.
When you apply your brakes you are squeezing your brake pad to your rotor to create friction and as we know friction creates heat. This heat is in the form of a gas. The more friction the more heat, the more heat the more gas. The more you brake, the harder you brake, and the longer your brake all build up more hot gas.
On a standard rotor this hot gas has no easy route to escape. The result is your brake pad is pushed away from your rotor so the gas can move. Now you can't stop as quick because your pad and rotor are being separated by the gas that needs to escape. This is commonly called brake fade.
If you have slotted and/or drilled rotors then the hot gas has a channel to escape through and you will not experience brake fade as quick or for as long.

The hotter a rotor gets and the more time it takes to cool off the more it warps. A solid rotor gets hotter and takes longer to cool off, thus warping quicker and requiring a replacement significantly sooner than a slotted and/or drilled rotor.

When do you buy cross-drilled and slotted?
Cross-drilled and slotted rotors are just like cross-drilled rotors. They are best suited for everyone except auto-cross and / or road-race competitors. The cool slightly quicker than a slotted rotor and last just as long on any car who's primary job is daily driving, weekend corner carving, or drag racing.

Price is per rotor. Please order 2 for a pair. Image is of a 1993-98 Supra TT front cross-drilled and slotted Rotora rotor to give you an idea of what your car's rotor will look like.

Rotora Rotor for 1994-2003 Miata (Except Sport Suspension) - Cross-Drilled & Slotted - Rear
Part # Ro 168.45041C

When do you buy slotted?
Slotted rotors are best suited for auto-cross and / or road-race competitors. They do not cool quite as quickly as a drilled or combination rotor, but they handle the additional stress of auto-cross or road-racing better than drilled rotors and thus last longer.
