RPS' Cyn-R-G billet flywheel is, quite simply, the best flywheel on the market. These flywheels utilize RPS' patent pending "segmented" heat shield system. Traditional heat shields warp because of the uneven heat produced by a slipping clutch. Just like a car going around in a circle (the outside tires go faster than the inside tires), the clutch disc slides faster around the outside of the flywheel than it does around the inside. The faster moving outside gets hotter than the inside. Because metal expands more the hotter it gets, the outside of the heat shield expands more than the inside.

Traditional heat shields are made of one piece metal rings, so when the outside expands more than the inside, the only thing the shield can do is warp. The RPS Segmented heat shields are not connected so they can expand and contract without warping. A warped heat shield causes the clutch to slip, which causes more heat and more warpage.

RPS Cyn-R-G Flywheels are dynamically balanced after CNC machining. Other flywheel manufactures assume that since they CNC their flywheels it comes off the machine fully balanced. This would be true assuming the density of the aluminum is constant throughout the part. Unfortunately even the best billet material is not evenly dense throughout and the starter ring gears are never perfect.

RPS Cyn-R-G Flywheels are also fully rebuildable for the life of the car!

Why should you spend the money on a lightened flywheel? There are numerous reasons that justify the expense. Your Supra will see an increased level of performance from more usable horsepower and torque throughout the RPM range. Why? Basic physics! Your 36 pound Toyota OEM flywheel is about 21 pounds heavier than a lightweight flywheel such as this RPS. The more rotating mass (the term for any object on your car that moves likes wheels, crank pulley, or flywheel) your car has the more power that is used by the motor to turn this mass. So if you lighten this weight your engine is more efficient and is able to get more of the power it is making to your wheels.

Some Supra owners are concerned with the chatter noise often produced by a lightened flywheel.† First, this noise exist mainly during idle.† At highway speed there is not any detectable amount of additional noise coming from a Cyn-R-G flywheel.† Second, the RPS Cyn-R-G is made slightly heavier than the Fidanza flywheel on purpose.† The additional weight found in the Cyn-R-G is to help further decrease the chatter at idle associated with a lightweight flywheel.† Third, if you simply raise your idle to around 1,000 RPM's (its a free modification and easy to do!) the chatter of the Cyn-R-G is virtually undetectable.† It is a good idea to raise your idle anyhow on the Supra, especially a single turbo.† This is to increase the oil flow going through your big single turbo.† It does no damage in any way to your Supra.† Finally, consider the performance benefit of saving 21 pounds of rotating mass.† A small amount of noise at idle is a small price to pay for all the gains to be recognized by installing a Cyn-R-G flywheel.

You will also see a quicker revving motor due to the lighter rotating mass. On a turbo car like the Supra this also equates to a quicker spooling turbo or turbos, and we all know how much we want less turbo lag! A lighter flywheel also reduces the stress on your drivetrain, thus extending its service life & saving you money.

 AP Engineering Shifter Bushing Kit for 1993-98 Supra with Manual Transmission
    Part # APE Shifter Bushings  
First, what is this product? Your shifter fork that attaches your transmission to your shifter is held onto the transmission by 2 bushings, one on each side of the fork. The stock pieces are made of a rubber. These bushings are made from lightweight billet aluminum.

Second, why do you need them? These AP Engineering billet bushings stabilize the shifter and offer a more precise feel. The stock rubber bushings have some play in them and these billet bushings completely eliminate that.

Over time your stock bushings deteriate into nothing. You can not buy just the stock rubber bushing replacements, you have to buy the whole fork. Even if you did that, you would still have nothing better than the stock bushings.

The kit includes everything pictured here and installation instructions. You need nothing more than a vise to do it yourself.

You do NOT have to drop your transmission to install these. All you have to do is unbolt the shifter tower from the transmission and if you need more room, just unbolt the transmission mount.

Clutch Masters Twin Disc systems are pure racing technology that also works well in high performance street applications. They are designed to hold tremendous horsepower and torque ratings, while retaining a very smooth operation. By slightly increasing the clamping force of the pressure plate and adding to the square inches of usable disc area, CM Twin Discs significantly increase clamping values with only a 25-50% increase in pedal pressure depending on the application. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum with 25% more tensile strength than the competition's cast unit.

The flywheel is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum to meet SFI spec 1.2 for competition in NHRA, NDRA, IDRC, IHRA, SCCA and NASA. Each aluminum flywheel includes a replaceable heat shield. Steel flywheels are also available on select applications.

For high-powered applications, Exedy offers Hyper Multi-Plate clutches. These are designed for hot street action as well as drag, road, and rally racing. These triple plate clutches made to hold high powered applications. For drag race applications this clutch is rated to hold up to and over 800 torque at the flywheel. Triples are all soliddiscs and are not recommended for road use.

All of the multi-plate clutches come with a lightweight, chrome moly steel flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance

This clutch fits the 2JZ-GE/GTE engine and offers a 2205lb. clamp load.

Why should you spend the money on a lightened flywheel? There are numerous reasons that justify the expense. Your Supra will see an increased level of performance from more usable horsepower and torque throughout the RPM range. Why? Basic physics! Your 36 pound Toyota OEM flywheel is about 21 pounds heavier than a lightweight flywheel such as this Fidanza. The more rotating mass (the term for any object on your car that moves likes wheels, crank pulley, or flywheel) your car has the more power that is used by the motor to turn this mass. So if you lighten this weight your engine is more efficient and is able to get more of the power it is making to your wheels.

You will also see a quicker revving motor due to the lighter rotating mass. On a turbo car like the Supra this also equates to a quicker spooling turbo or turbos, and we all know how much we want less turbo lag! A lighter flywheel also reduces the stress on your drivetrain, thus extending its service life & saving you money.

All Fidanza flywheels are CNC machined. It is made from either 6061 T6 or 2024 T3 aluminum, depending on the model. Both materials are tempered aluminums which are very strong yet still very lightweight. The friction surface is made from 1050 high carbon alloy steel. It is durable for just about any clutch disc material, from organic to Kevlar to sintered iron. The friction surface is attached using either aerospace nuts and bolts or 304 stainless steel rivets depending on the application. All the ring gears are heat treated for durability. They are heated, pressed on and then secured using grade 10 fasteners. Fidanza has quickly become known as the bang-for-your-buck flywheel choice.

SPEC billet aluminum flywheels are also CNC machined and exceed SFI standardsfor high stress racing applications. These units are recommended for highlymodified street or racing vehicles, and for mildly modified street cars thatcan benefit from reduced rotating mass without the loss of daily drivability.
The body of the flywheel is made of tempered aluminums, either 6061 T6 or 2024T3, for ultimate strength and lightest possible weight. The 1/4 inch thickfriction plate is a 1050 high carbon alloy, for incredible durability with anyfriction disc material, even iron.
The plates are secured to the body by aerospace fasteners or stainless steelrivets, depending on the application. These fasteners were chosen because oftheir exceptional strength and corrosion resistance.
The ring gears are pressed on and secured with grade 10 fasteners. They gearis also heat treated for longevity.

The Super Twin is for street and track use in cars with extreme horsepower and torque (700+ ft/lbs tq). The Super Twin offers near-stock drivability, above average life expectancy, no shimming/setup bolt-in installation, and maintenance free operation.

With all billet construction these units are smooth. The units are rebuild-able by SPEC or the end user and replacement components or rebuild services are always available. The Super Twin is constructed with aircraft grade aluminum and high carbon billet steel milled to an industry standard .001 inch for perfect balance and actuation. Friction is provided by dampened full-faced carbon graphite discs. Flywheel and track-spec hardware are included in each kit.

There are 4 types of Super Twins made for the MKIV Supra. Each type has its recommended uses and amount of torque it is rated to hold.
SS-Trim: Holds up to 900 torque. Recommended for drag racing, street driving, road racing, and ralley racing.
P-Trim: Holds up to 1,100 torque. Recommended for drag racing, street driving, drifting, road racing, and ralley racing.

This is a good twin disc clutch that is easy to drive due to both discs having springs on them. This clutch has a moderate amount of pedal pressure increase compared to stock. Rated to hold 550-600 torque.

This clutch was not designed for agressive drag racing. If you are planning on doing a lot of aggressive street driving or 1/4 mile track racing (especially with drag radials or drag slicks) then this is not the right clutch for you.

Comes with a lightened aluminum flywheel included for the price. Typical clutch replacement parts such as the throwout release bearing and flywheel bolts are not included and need to be purchased separately.
