The HKS HyperMax II Coilovers are arguably the best suspension on the market. These dampers offer both ride height and shock dampening adjustments, providing significantly improved handling characteristics while maintaining your vehicle’s ride comfort. Ride height is adjusted by simply rotating the 60mm spring retainer perches around the chromed steel shock body, this can even be done while on the car. The dual interlocking spring retainer perches prevent spring movement and unwanted ride height changes. Dampening can be adjusted to an incredible 30 unique settings to deliver the desired shock compression and rebound stiffness for custom tailored driving characteristics ranging from daily street driver to SCCA champion.
All HKS HyperMax II kits, unlike Tein & other "economy" coilovers, includes anodized aluminum upper pillow-ball mounts. What are pillow ball mounts & why do you need them? Pillow ball mounts are basically what go in between your shock and the shock tower on your car. The factory piece on your car now is made of rubber because its cheap & made for the average driver. Rubber obviously moves more than hardened aluminum. When you put Tein (hardened aluminum) pillow ball mounts in place of the OE rubber mounts you have a more desirable, adjustable, & predictable ride. Any avid road-racer, auto-crosser, or weekend turn warrior absolutely needs these mounts.
