Definition of Grey Market
Grey market is when the shop you bought the product from brought in the product directly from Japan to save a few dollars instead of buying it from the established USA distributor. It is a common practice used by “dot-com” shops to offer the end user a more attractive price than an authorized dealer while still making as much or more money.
Every USA company that has a mother company in Japan or elsewhere (Blitz, Brembo, Do-Luck, Greddy, HKS, Power Enterprise, Rotora, Sparco, Tein, Top Secret, Veilside, and Volk, just to name a few) strictly forbids` this practice.
Grey market products have no warranty and no support from the manufacture!
Any USA authorized distributor found to be grey marketing is immediately & permanently cut off from all distribution. So if you are purchasing from an authorized distributor you can be virtually certain it was obtained through legitimate channels and will have a warranty on it because an authorized distributor is not willing to risk grey marketing just to save a few dollars.
