Ensure that your engine can handle a larger turbo by reinforcing your cylinder head(s).
Upgrading your head(s) has major benefits when adding power to your diesel. Specifically when raising boost levels, stock hardware has a difficult time keeping that boost in, and can result in stretched head bolts and blown head gaskets. Reinforcing the head with headstuds, fire-rings, or O-rings allows you to run your upgraded turbo at peak levels.
