Buyer beware. Their 3 year warranty exists only on paper. HKS USA is nothing but a small warehouse. They do no R&D, no testing, and no repairs / warranty work. All HKS warranty claims must ship to HKS Japan at the buyer’s (THAT IS YOU) expense. IF HKS Japan determines your product is defective, they will repair it and ship it back to HKS USA on their next slow-boat ocean shipment. This means you will be without your coilovers for at least 4 months, minimum.

People buy HKS coilovers because of the name. Not because they handle the best, not because they are the most comfortable. Which they do handle very good and they are quite comfy, we aren'’t saying otherwise. But they are not “the best”, and their warranty is a flat out lie. Its our job to protect our customers, not bow down to pressure from HKS to hide the truth.

Take a strong look at very comfortable coilovers with amazing handling - –made in the USA -– warrantied in the USA. We highly recommend Fortune Auto with their 5 year warranty, or Stance with their 2 year warranty. They cost basically the same as HKS coilovers, and they actually stand behind their products. Fortune Auto has 2 full time engineers who do nothing but improve their suspensions - that's why they are already on Version 7. Fortune Auto and Stance also let us choose any spring rate we want at no extra cost, so if you want to customize your setup, you can.

What HKS says about these coilovers
HKS will integrate and renew the three existing MAXIV GT Series into HIPERMAX S. 9 years have passed since the launch of MAXIVGT, and during that time, we have developed new technologies. It will be a new series that has all three conventional model’s characteristics, and been evolved by damping force characteristics, durability and beauty.
